Impatiens hybrida
A member of the Balsaminaceae family, Impatiens hybrid combines the shade performance of traditional impatiens with the sun tolerance and vigor of New Guinea types. These interspecific hybrids flourish in part shade to filtered sun, evenly moist, and well‑drained soil. Continuous flowering, mildew resistance, and lush branching make them a go‑to choice for patio pots, hanging baskets, and shaded landscape beds that need season‑long color.
Remove from mist quickly; spray adjuvant at sticking. pH 5.8–6.5, EC 0.5–0.9, feed 50–80 ppm N depending on type. Optional Ethephon at 300 ppm after sticking resets flowering. Maintain 70°F (21°C); pinch not recommended. Fungicide at sticking and week 2.
